Why Work With Us
BUILT FOR THE TEAM AT THE TOP
We’re hands-on operators who bring direct experience, not hands-off consultants. MBG helps executive teams operate with clarity and own shared priorities by building leadership habits that drive lasting performance.
The best companies are led by First Teams — executive teams that operate as one. At MBG, we help transform fragmented groups into cohesive leadership teams that decide with clarity, follow through with accountability, and lead with conviction.
What sets us apart is expertise you can trust in the moments that matter most. Our partners have first-hand experience leading through IPOs, turnarounds and high-growth transformations. That lived experience shapes every engagement, allowing us to build trust quickly, sharpen conversations, and move the work forward when the margin for error is razor-thin.
We work in pairs, bringing complementary expertise to every client engagement. This model ensures a balance of perspective, real-time facilitation, and outcome-driven progress. Drawing on agile principles, we guide executive teams to reveal what’s blocking performance, make cleaner decisions, and integrate accountability into daily operations.
The result? Aligned leadership teams capable of leading their organizations through complexity with speed and discipline. Plus, the habits and behaviors modeled by the First Team cascade through the organization's culture, shaping resilience and agility across the board.
With MBG, you don’t just get advice. You get experienced operators who help you build practices and continue momentum, so your leadership team — and your organization — performs at its best.

Natalie Bonifede
MANAGING PARTNER & CO-FOUNDER, MBG
Joe partners with executive teams to help them thrive at critical inflection points - from IPOs and acquisitions to rapid scaling and leadership transitions. At MBG, he works with CEOs and CHROs to build alignment, strengthen resilience, and drive execution at the top.
He currently serves as both Chief People Officer and Member of the Board of Directors at Mechanical Orchard, a next-generation AI technology company. In this role, he leads the global People function with a pragmatic, business-first approach to talent and organizational strategy, while advising the Board on executive compensation, equity, and succession.
Previously, Joe was Chief People Officer at PagerDuty and Pivotal, where he guided both companies through transformative growth - including Pivotal’s IPO and subsequent acquisition by VMware. Earlier in his career, he led large-scale HR, M&A, and operations initiatives at EMC and Greenplum.
Before entering the corporate world, Joe served as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, responsible for the combat readiness of 1,100 Marines - an experience that continues to shape his approach to leadership, resilience, and execution.
Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Fairfield University and both an MBA and a Master’s in Finance from Boston College.
Natalie works alongside executive teams to sharpen priorities, strengthen decision-making, and embed the habits that drive lasting performance. At MBG, she
leads engagements that uncover the root causes of leadership friction — whether aligning teams on strategy, embedding new operating norms, and guiding organizations through IPO readiness, rapid scaling, or cultural transformation.
She brings deep experience from both high-growth startups and global enterprises. She has held leadership roles at Komodo Health, Google, VMware/Pivotal, Adobe, and Girls Who Code where she built and scaled talent strategy, leadership development programs, and partnered with C-suites to strengthen team dynamics and organizational effectiveness.
This blend of startup agility and enterprise-scale leadership gives her a pragmatic perspective on what it takes to lead through complexity and deliver results in high-stakes environments.
Alongside her work with teams, Natalie is a certified Conscious Leadership executive coach who partners one-on-one with senior leaders.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UC Berkeley and is an alumna of the Executive Business Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
